The Shari’a Committee of al-Qaeda in Iraq [Tanzeem Qaedat Al-Jihad Fi Bilad Al-Rafidayn congratulating
Muslims for beginning the month of Ramadan and calling for intensified attacks upon coalition and Iraqi forces. The group
references historical examples of Ramadan as a month of “hard work and jihad” and urges Muslims to “fight
the cross-worshippers who disgraced our sacreds, dishonored our women, demolished our mosques, and burned the Qur’an.”
